Price parity updated for MSA

It's amazing how much you can learn by just doing. I knew there was a way to extract Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and implement the same parameter controls to make the price parity app a little more useful. State-level data is good. However, in many cases, for those seeking jobs, they want to know more about the metro area they live in. Quantitatively speaking, a good place to start is cost of living and how far their salary goes. This visualization helps with just that.

I knew the Department of Commerce kept data on the cost of living by MSA, but this case was particularly problematic... it required an R script to query the BEA's economic database. Much thanks to GitHub user DreaJulca for providing the basic GitHub framework required to program this interactive visualization.

An of course, as always, "This app uses the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Data API but is not endorsed or certified by BEA."
